Construction Quality Association (Rakentamisen Laatu RALA ry) seeks to improve
the standard of quality in construction and create favourable conditions for
sound competition in Finland. RALA gathers and updates information on companies
operating in this field, evaluates company performance, and issues competence
and classification certificates.

role in RALA’s activities is played by the RALA Certification Board whose
members represent a balanced range of expertise in the construction business.
The Certification Board reviews applications for competence certification filed
by companies and issues RALA Certificates based on the reports submitted by the
reviewers. The Board includes four divisions: building construction;
infrastructure construction; technical building systems; and engineering design
and construction management.
